Wed, December 17, 2003 - 5:55 PMO yeah...I forgot the CRUCIAL part of the question....WHY? -
-
Re: The obligatory questions
Wed, December 17, 2003 - 7:47 PMExtremities just makes me bang my head. Martin Atkins just pounds the shit out of that whole cd. Also, the messages are loud and clear. "Money Is Not Our God". YEAH BABY.
The new one? it's just KJ when we need them the most. I could play Blood On Your Hands and Seeing Red over and over and over. In fact I have.
I have a soft spot for Nighttime. dont tell anybody, though. such great songs.

Re: The obligatory questions
Wed, December 17, 2003 - 10:28 PMBoth self-titled recordings. Both have a directness that I appreciate and both affect me on a gut level in the same manner. -
-
Re: The obligatory questions
Wed, December 17, 2003 - 10:47 PMI like them all. Fire Dances rocks. Night Timeis killer too. The worst is Outside. Maybe 3 good songs on the whole thing? They all have their moments on all their albums because each one is different, unique, and not quite the same. That is what makes KJ great!:) -

Re: The obligatory questions
Thu, December 18, 2003 - 7:08 AMfor me the first self titled and "what's this for...?"
nobody sounded like that then. -

Re: The obligatory questions
Fri, December 19, 2003 - 11:07 PMFor me "self titled", "what's this for" (my poor vinyle, lol!) and "fire dances" -

Re: The obligatory questions
Sat, December 20, 2003 - 1:58 PMThe new Killing Joke album is just the perfect soundtrack right now. Everthing else that I've heard recently that deals with the same topics that are reflected on in the new album seems watered-down. Does that make sense? -
-
Re: The obligatory questions
Sat, December 20, 2003 - 9:48 PMkilling joke are the only band that i can think of that makes you think and sends a message of the fucked up world we live in. and nothing can be said more then that. they never cease to amaze me.:) the new album is perfect!

Re: The obligatory questions
Sat, December 20, 2003 - 9:52 PMyou should check out 'disposable heroes of hip hoprisy'. the release with "television the drug of the nation, breeding ignorance and feeding radiation..." 1991 or so.
"ABC, CNN but mostly BS"
definitely not watered down. same topics and insanely scary. -

Re: The obligatory questions
Sun, March 26, 2006 - 7:12 PMI'm new to Tribe, but not new to Killing Joke. My favorite is Fire Dances, because for me, that album sums up the entire glorious blood and thunder, ritualized, magickal totality of what human potential is...
and it effin' rawks!!!
I have high hopes for the Hosannas CD...
